Re: Using Amahi DNS causes timeouts and high ping?
The HDA itself didn't seem to have any issues it was just clients connected to it. Seems it's sometimes triggered by a smartphone or something connecting to the network. Changing the DNS of an affected client to 8.8.8.8 for instance and the problem goes away. I changed from the default dns settings ...

Re: Using Amahi DNS causes timeouts and high ping?
If it does not exist, you have issues. It exists on my Amahi 7 install, but as /etc/resolv.conf. Sorry for the typo :) Haha, I must have been so lazy to just copy instead of typing myself :P... Re: Using Amahi DNS causes timeouts and high ping?
Nope, this should be Amahi 7...I presume this is Amahi 6.
Maybe check /etc/resolve.conf to see what it includes. I have never had an issue myself.
/etc/resolve.conf does not exist

Using Amahi DNS causes timeouts and high ping?
I have been wrestling with a real strange issue for a long time. Tried everything but now I have narrowed it down. If I use my Amahi as my DNS server my local computers ping to 8.8.8.8 for example skyrockets at times (and even timeouts). Manually setting another DNS on my local machine (8.8.8.8 or s...

Re: Amahi 7 Express disk RC1!
Will installing on existing Fedora 19 installs be supported once Amahi 7 is "done"? I have a new server I'm about to set up and I want to use Amahi on it later. But since it's not ready for prime time my idea was to install Fedora 19 on it and manually install greyhole and install amahi fr...

Re: How to install Amahi 7?
good catch, i thought we put it in the repo earlier, but i just checked and we did not. will do in the next release. Is it safe to install it manually or will that break things when you include it later? Also, noted that the page at amahi.org states "Waiting install" even after I complete...

Re: How to install Amahi 7?
Is greyhole not included at all in AMahi 7 yet? I thought only a future gui was the thing "missing". But I don't even have the executable

Re: How to install Amahi 7?
Reading the wiki it states NOTE: it's best to start installing "on the fly" with the Fedora 18 install, by adding f18.amahi.org as a repo at the time that Fedora allows you to add new repos. We are past the phase of installing packages by hand and want to start testing as users would inst...
