Re: View shares in webpage or webserver
OK, I played around with it a bit. Unfortunately webapps are no solution for me since I don't have DHCP on in Amahi because I don't want to run my server 24/7. (I can turn it on with WOL) No DHCP means the apps don't work. I thought I could just use Apache on port 8081, with AutoIndex and some symbo...

Re: Can't open Dashboard
OK, I see what I did wrong. I've changed the port in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf to 8081 because I was thinking this Apache was not used by Amahi. So that killed it indeed. OK, changing the port back solves the problem of the Dashboard not being accessible. But how can I now make my directory webserv...

Re: Can't open Dashboard
Thanks. Well, indeed it is very likely related to Apache, but I've put Apache intentionally on 8081 so Amahi wouldn't be disturbed. SabNzbd was already running for some time on 8080, that was no problem. So I don't understand what's going wrong. Apache was already installed, I only added the GUI con...

Can't open Dashboard
Hi, I've been installing Apache (on port 8081) and before that I had SabNzbd (on port 8080) running. Now when I restarted by home server, I cannot open the dashboard anymore. On Amahi.org, the status of my HDA is OK. DLNA app is also working, shares are OK, only the dashboard doesn't seem to be runn...

Incredibly weird VNC keyboard problem
Hi, I have setup my home server as a headless server, although I still want to be able to use it to write DVDs remotely. Following the VNC page on the wiki (using method 1) I can now log on the HDA. However, I installed Fedora using a Belgian keyboard layout. I have a strange problem depending on ho...

View shares in webpage or webserver
Hi, I have several share on my Amahi server: Docs, Movies, Music, ... For some simpler devices (iPad) it would be easier to have a webpage on http://hda that displays the contents of those shares. So I can go for example to http://hda/Docs and get an overview of of all files and directories. Previou...

Letting SabNzbd turn off the computer
Hi,
Is there a possibility for SabNzbd to turn off the computer?
I have a schedule to resume at 02:00 and pause at 08:00.
Somehow (I really don't know how) my computer starts up before 02:00, but I cannot stop it at 08:00.
Any ideas?

Other services on HDA, WOL, S3 Standby and other questions
Hi, I successfully installed my Amahi server, much better luck in making share than with Ubuntu. You would think with Ubuntu 10.10 it would be easy to make a file server, however, not so simple. Anyway, my HDA runs, but I do have some questions. Important remark is that I turned of DHCP server on HD...

Re: Best partition scheme to use
Hi,
I'm trying to follow the wiki guideline on this, but shouldn't there be a /boot partition?
If I don't do that, then I get an error message that there should be a bootable partition.
Perhaps I missed it in the explanation.

HW setup check + some questions
Amahi seems very interesting for me. Currently I have a Windows XP machine (MSI K8M Neo-V with Sempron 2800+ and 512MB ram) as file/SVN server. I would like to transform it to an Amahi server for my home: Win XP/7, Mac and Linux clients. (max 3 at the same time) I know RAM is little low, but it shou...
