Jus to let anyone know. I was able to install amahi on my old pentium III with 384 MB RAM. I had to install via the fedora DVD, via text install mode (the installer will enter directly to this mode when it detect you have low memory). Then I had to install "X window system" and gnome deskt...

I tried with "text" and "mem=386m" and "xdriver=vesa" option, but none works. It keeps freezing at pre-installation scripts. As I can't see the output text I don't know if it's actually doing something, but my guess is that it just freezes.

I would say no. The express CD is about as small as you can get it.

No, I mean, forcing the install on a system with less than 512 RAM. Apparently the text installer is causing problems on anaconda installer:

My thought we be insufficient memory. Fedora 12 and Amahi requires 512MB RAM.

Is there anyway to force the install and see if it works?

I got exactly the same problem on a Piii 800Mhz with 384 RAM. It gets stuck on the running pre-installation scripts. Any ideas?
