Re: Fedora transition - voice your opinion!
Ubuntu My entire network system is Ubuntu based, except I have a somewhat ancient version of Amahi running on Fedora, mostly doing DNS and DHCP, I would use it more, but the Redhat way of doing things is not for me, I've always found it barfs on far more hardware than Debian/Ubuntu and the Debain pa...

Re: Lost ability to log into HDA
OK fixed it, found a post here about resetting passwords from the command line, read the script and some others in the same directory, realised the default user is "admin" and was able to login as admin, all other user details seem to have been lost at some stage. Oh well added me back as ...

Re: Lost ability to log into HDA
Please can someone tell me how to reset the web interface user login details from the command line?
I just want to fix my DNS/DHCP issue that I have and move on, but I'm stuck here waiting for a reply, as I can't find an answer in the wiki, here or by using google.

Re: http://hda doesn't work, but http://hda.home.com works
It maybe your browser that stops it working.
Chrome sees "hda" in the address/search box, and assumes you mean to search for HDA not visit a location called HDA.
Because of this, I always use the full name in my browser.

Lost ability to log into HDA
So I visit http://hda.home.com/user_sessions witch is my local HDA and I cannot login. I use a password saver system, but that hasn't helped. On my internal systems I always use the same password for everything (not secure, but I'm not trying to make them secure, I'm trying to make them accessible t...

Did you enable Squid? I found that stopped the short addresses working. I just use the long names now.

Re: Funky home network set-up giving me trouble??
If there is no privacy/security reason why you cannot connected directly to your landlords network, then just connected the new airport to his router and bridge to his network. That would simplify things greatly. If at all possible, you really don't want the HDA (or any server, but especially a medi...

Re: Funky home network set-up giving me trouble??
Well your HDA and your Gateway seem to be on different subnets Gateway 10.8.0.2/255.255.255.0 HDA 10.0.1.10/255.255.255.0 The whole purpose of a Gateway is to allow you to talk to machines not on your subnet, hence a gateway must always be on your subnet or the machines on that subnet are doomed to ...
