I created a temporary user, deleted the first user, then recreated it. Problem solved.
After that I deleted the temporary user (since you cannot login as root in an X-Session I created the temp user as a precaution)

I have a strange problem. I Installed Fedora 10 and Amahi HDA. Aside from some minor issues (not apparently related to this one) all went well. Calendar appointments 3hrs off of client/system time
Strange problem here:
Fedora, my XP client machine and the calendar client Thunderbird 3 Beta w/ Lightning are all set for US Eastern Time (GMT -5) , but appointments appear in the webcalendar 3 hours earlier (US Pacific Time, GMT -8). Any ideas on how to fix?
