Re: Ubuntu and Fedora 12 (Amahi) at the same time?
Thanks for returning, bigfoot! I know i'm being very ambitious, but would the tools provided with amahi be able to set up something similar? - i have not done much home page coding, so i know i'm facing a mountain. I just want t try it out for kicks and was interested in relation to Amahi because of...

Is used for Ubuntu and is precompiled in LTS versions.. makemkv: a program that can rip media from drives. I use it t store my blu rays on the pc. Boxee: A frontend program that acts as a media ...

Ubuntu and Fedora 12 (Amahi) at the same time?
I've experimented alot the recent weeks trying to figure out the best distribution of linux for me. While i really like Amahi, i just can't make the switch to Fedora (i'm a windows guy). However, i also really like Ubuntu, where i have MakeMKV and Boxee installed (kickass programs btw!), which were ...

Quick question: how far is the development bringing amahi to the Ubuntu distro? - how long before we can expect any release/news?

Re: Can the HDA be used as DNS/DHCP server and acessed in sl
Ok, thanks for answering.
Now, if i disable it as per the FAQ (and let the router be untouched), can't i enable it again if i want to later? - it states that it will be disabled forever..?

Can the HDA be used as DNS/DHCP server and acessed in sleep?
I'm trying to determine the optimum setup for me. While i would love to use all the functionality that Amahi provides, i'm a bit hesitant about letting it serve as a DHCP and DNS server. Mainly because i would like it to go to sleep when it's not being used to save energy (and thereby money). My que...

Re: Fedora 14 and AMAHI + XBMC
Ok, it all seems to be fine.
You say upgrade from within F12 to F14.. is this easy and advisable? I only have experience with Windows, and that really is a PITA if it's not a fresh install - not upgraded.
Thank you so much for answering my stupid noob questions

Fedora 14 and AMAHI + XBMC
Ok, so i'm really new to the linux world and got carried away once a friend of mine told me about AMAHI and linux. I am a regular user of the Windows OS and wanted to know more about using linux. So, now i've invested in a new system (Core i3, 3 x 1.5 Tb HDD, LG Blu ray drive) to make myself a reall...
