Hey all! After working a year with amahi on fedora 9(!), I decided it was time to upgrade it to 12, I reinstalled everything succesful and everything works just fine. Except... For the vpn... I am able to connect with my homenetwork but I can't acces my hda apps or any of my hda shares... I also can...

Hey, sorry for my late response, was a bit busy with my exams... Well I tried the default amahi shares (the ones on the linux partition) and they didn't work either I have no clue what samba version I had running, the error message I see in windows is: "Can't sync, windows doesn't have exclusiv...

I guesse it's best for me to go back to fedora 8... so it is perfectly possible to have fedora 8 with amahi fulle updated? I'll check tis know cause this sync problem is driving me crazy...

I tried both solutions, doesn't work... I was also wrong about a previous statement, it doesn't sync with the default amahi shares... same error... I'm using Vista with the built-in sync centrum, wich always worked with fedora 8 (and yes, stille using the same ntfs hd...) I'm now going to try to del...

Yep, the directory that I share is a different partition, and indeed, ntfs...
well if you can tell me where I have to look I can compare hehe...
euhm I Think the easy way to reproduce it is to add a ntfs hd into your amahi and add it as a share using the amahi webinterface...

I have the exact same settings as you... however... Synchronizing with the default amahi shares (books, music, movies, ...) works perfectly, but with my own added shares it doesn't work :o Maybe that's the difference... in fedora 8 I added my shares manually in Samba, now I sued the amahi file shari...
