Re: How to upgrade Greyhole to the latest version before it's available from Amahi repository

We do not support test releases and from what I can tell this is not official yet. I can understand a test release not being supported until it's official, but I don't see how it can become official until it's tested. I have the time -- and more importantly -- the motivation to test it because I'm ...

How to upgrade Greyhole to the latest version before it's available from Amahi repository

A new version of Greyhole is available that permits launching scripts on specific Greyhole events: Hooks external scripts when greyhole processing events I realize it may be a long time before Amahi Development would have time to test it. I would like to install it on my Amahi 9 Virtualbox VM for te...

Re: More Greyhole Write Issues - WARN write: No metadata files could be created -- not creating 'gh' subfolder?

Thanks for your reply and I appreciate the time you took in doing so. I'm working with the Greyhole UI on my live setup now and want to wait a few days before creating the bug report just in case something else pops up.

Re: More Greyhole Write Issues - WARN write: No metadata files could be created -- not creating 'gh' subfolder?

Creating those folders is the job of Greyhole. Actually, no, it's not -- it's the responsibility of apps that integrate with Greyhole, in this case the Greyhole UI App. This is stated quite clearly in the Greyhole documentation "How to add drives to your storage pool" : 3. Create an empty folder, l...

CLOSED: More Greyhole Write Issues - WARN write: No metadata files could be created -- not creating 'gh' subfolder?

Hi All, I'm receiving the same "No metadata files could be created" error that johnny5shared describes in this post but there are enough differences in other info reported there that a new topic seems warranted. So here's my tale of woe. I'm in the process of upgrading my physical HDA server from Am...

Re: Read before posting: Greyhole troubleshooting

I've done a careful comparison of the following: 1. Fedora-specific info requested by Greyhole Troubleshooting steps 1-6 only. 2. The output of apaste --sysinfo 3. The output of gboudreau's script , which is the execution of: curl -Ls http://bit.ly/gh-infos | sudo sh Not surprisingly, there's a fair...

Re: Amahi 7 Express disk RC7!

I'm interested in viewing the password-protected blog post about A7: https://blog.amahi.org/2013/07/26/cravi ... e-polished

My normal amahi.org and wiki.amahi.org passwords don't seem to work. What do I need to do?

Re: Webmin module defaults for DHCP server are incorrect

Doh! I knew I should have made copies of all the config files before I started playing, and I'm usually so religious about doing so, but I was excited to start using amahi-netboot. It's really slick and I expect it'll be my Plan B if my trusty Plan A isostick runs into broken BIOSs. Plan C is... Pla...

Re: Amahi Netboot PXE resurrection

Thank you for your reply, and I completely understand. :) I did not realize there are only 3-4 volunteers, but it certainly comes across that these are 3-4 dedicated volunteers. :D Can you point me to one or two wiki pages that would be a good example of how it is desired to break out the difference...
