Re: Can't access Amahi DLNA from TV
After a lot of playing around it seems that the problem is all about file formats. DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) is trying to set an “open industry standards for cross-industry digital convergence” according to the website. Unfortunately it does not seem to support FOSS standards. I got the...

Can't access Amahi DLNA from TV
I just bought a Sony Bravia TV and is trying to access the Amahi DLNA server. It is running as I got this: rpm -q amahi-dlna amahi-dlna-0.91-7.i686 The TV is connected to the internet via the Amahi DNS as I can see the IP addresses and can access YouTube, but I can't see the DLNA server on the TV. I...

Re: Squeezebox & WinAmp Connection Problem
Thanks, I now understand the Squeezebox setup better and got it working. On Windows I installed the SqueezePlay software and can now play music via SqueezePlay and/or Squeezebox on a browser. I am quite satisfied with it. On Mac (iTunes) & Ubuntu (Rhythmbox) I access the music via AmahiTunes. Th...

Amahi’s popularity?
I am relatively new to Amahi and must say that I am very impressed with it and the applications that come with it. It is easy to set up, use and is user friendly (especially for the demanding wife that does not want to learn anything.. lol). But here is my question: If Amahi is so good, why is it no...
Gallery 3
I just installed Gallery3 and I am very impressed with it. It is easy to use, has some nice features (I am still finding more), is very intuitive and it just works. Even I could figure out how to install the module needed to import everything from Gallery2 and then actually do it. If you really need...

Re: Search function in hda?
I had exactly the same problem and reported in this thread: http://forums.amahi.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1715 I reported it in bug #622 and was able to fix it with the instructions that some other people supplied. Maybe you have the same problem.

AmahiTunes and Themes?
This is just a general question. Is the AmahiTunes application supposed to inherit the Amahi HDA Theme? I tested it with a few themes and it does not seem to inherit any.

Re: Connection Error on Windows 7 w/ existing openVPN Client
Wiredfutureman, do I understand your question correctly? You want to VPN simultaneous to two different machines? If so, that can’t be done (this is not my area of expertise, but I am sure of this). The best you can do is to VPN to the first machine and then from the first machine again VPN to the se...
