Re: File Permissions, Unable to delete, Failed to unlink

Merci Guillaume!

Thought I'd ask rather than destroy tens of gigs of data ;)

Worked a charm.

Should we update GH on Amahi manually to get lastest version or wait for Amahi release?

PS: Also setting up off-site mirror on old Drobo now via rsync.

File Permissions, Unable to delete, Failed to unlink

Hi all, Got a weird problem where I am unable to remove files and folders from a share. The error simply says that they are owned by root and cannot be deleted. For example, I remove a text file and greyhole.log shows this: Dec 1 13:04:31 7 parse_logs: Failed unlink in Backups/Lightroom/SyncToy_1864...

Re: How to remove a disk from pool and migrate data?

Would I have broken anything if I had not run that command first and copied stuff manually?

So far I'm not missing anything as in my case I just wanted to remove the external HDD and re-use it. The only file on it was a 100GB image of another computer, which I trashed (the image, not the comp) :)

Re: How to remove a disk from pool and migrate data?

Answering my own question here: 1. Go to the Greyhole directory on the drive eg. ls /var/hda/files/drives/drive1/gh/ 2. Have a look what's in there and copy the files somewhere else (do NOT copy them to another drive in your pool! copy them somewhere completely different for the meantime!) 3. Untick...

How to remove a disk from pool and migrate data?

Hi all, after scouring the forms and wiki I am still not clear on how to remove a disk from a pool and migrate data on it to the other disks. I've got an external USB drive (silly, I know) which I had added to my pool, that I now would like to remove. Therefore, all data on it needs to go somewhere....

Re: Transmission 1.91 version - OLD

Sorry, do I install the old version through the web interface first and then the RPMs or do I have to uninstall the old version first?

Re: Connection Error on Windows 7 w/ existing openVPN Client

Hi Wilhelm, no - I have two openVPN client applications on my computer: one for HMA and one for HDA. However, I removed HMA now and did a fresh install of the HDA client.

Still not connecting properly though.

Re: Connection Error on Windows 7 w/ existing openVPN Client

Ok, I've removed HMA Pro VPN software, removed HDA - rebooted and re-installed HDA again.

Same results :(

PS: I'm using my systems username/password.

Connection Error on Windows 7 w/ existing openVPN Client

Hi there, I've already got another piece of VPN software using the same openVPN interface protocols as the HDA Connect client I believe (HMA Pro VPN client). This may cause the following error: Thu Aug 26 09:33:07 2010 OpenVPN 2.1_rc15 i686-pc-mingw32 [SSL] [LZO2] [PKCS11] built on Nov 19 2008 Thu A...

Re: Documentaton on greyhole?

Hi geekraver,

It should look like this: Shares -> click on a share to expand it, look at the bottom two options
