Could be many things. What OS are you using? Also did you check log files for errors?

Wow I actually fixed it! Ok, so usermod -G users transmission did nothing, but usermod -G transmission admin got me in the right group AFTER stopping the service. However, I still was unable to delete stuff. Oddly enough, restarting AFTER I successfully added myself to the group did fix it. Thanks f...
