Amahi on f9 repo issue
I am still on the Amahi Version for fedora 9 and I get this http://f9.amahi.org/repodata/primary.xml.gz: [Errno -3] Error performing checksum Trying other mirror. Error: failure: repodata/primary.xml.gz from amahi: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try. Is there a way to fix this. I need to make some p...

Upgrade Path Guide
Hi I installed Amahi when the OS requirement was Fedora 9. We have 2 raid arrays holding a lot of graphics and media files and desktop and laptop PBA backups (12 TB size 8 TB files in Raid 5), so it is not just a home assistant setup. I never really thought of upgrading but it looks like I do not ha...

Re: Partitioning scheme for Fedora and Amahi
Hi, I do not know why XFS would be a problem for Linux and Windows machines. Works fine for my install and that XFS is in a RAID5 too. Videos and file copies work much faster. The bigger your drives, the more reason to use XFS. Just do not use LVM. Too many pain points specially if coupled with RAID...

Re: RAID mount point suggestions
Hey cpg thanks! Everything is now in opt. I figured if the enclosure dies, the OS is still alive. OS is mirrored and data is RAID 5. I am still keeping my little. NAS world books for really important stuff like my wife's email whose business depends on a lot. I got the things I need working on the F...

Re: RAID mount point suggestions
I understood that so I choose /opt instead and then I may just reconfigure the amahi file locations via hard and soft links.. unless it's reconfigurable. I installed on 64 bit and looks like it installed. Do not know if it actually works :) It's Chrismas. need to do a bike ride and then watch movies...

Re: Wireless Router Configuration
Should have read the FAQ. So my answer to my question is just drop dhcp from the router. I have bigger issues as I installed 64 bit Fedora because I wanted to use all the memory I have on this. Christmas eve celebrations so all Linux tinkering has to stop

Wireless Router Configuration
Are there any other configuration needed for the wireless router that I have aside from disabling DHCP. Should I change it's role as a gateway to router, mess with its firewall etc? I am just hesitant to do other changes that is unnecessary. I am hoping that that is all that is needed in case the Am...
