Re: Still not getting ruby lib...
It really looked better, but I am trying to use it as the main server for a small business. I need it to work! I'll probably give Amahi another try as a home server, but I can't waste anymore time on it now. I already have windows server installed and working, though I would like to move away from w...

Re: Still not getting ruby lib...
It's still not working, and this stuff is way to buggy to use in anything that would need any sort of reliability at all. I'm going to upgrade to windows home server, and that's saying something right there

Still not getting ruby lib...
OK, I'm about to give up on this and go back to windows. I think I'll give it one more shot... I can't get Fedora and Amahi installed at the same time like recommended. If I put the Amahi repository files in the list of stuff to install I get stuck at Ruby.Libs and the install will not go any furthe...

Re: Stuck on Ruby libs?
Turns out it was not my RAID setup at all, I just couldn't get the Amahi repository files during install which caused the installer to lock up. I have Fedora working like a champ now, but Amahi still does not want to work :| My mobo is a supermicro server motherboard, the onboard RAID is supposed to...

Amahi-installer is dead?
Hey again! I've finally got Fedora installed, and I found out what was killing my install every single time. It was Amahi! After I took Amahi off of the repository list Fedora installed perfectly. So, seeing as how I culdn't install it from scratch, I decided to try and install it on top of a new in...

Re: Stuck on Ruby libs?
I've completely cleared my RAID array and am just trying to install Fedora and it still freezes at random spots through the install. Is Amahi this buggy too? If it is based off of this Fedora I would assume so. I thought Linux was supposed to be so much smoother than windows. I've never seen anythin...

Re: Stuck on Ruby libs?
Well now I got it to get stuck somewhere else, something about typing. I went through and changed the partition setup and that made it go a little bit further, but not much. Right now I have my partitions set like this /boot 200Mb split 300MB / the rest of a 500GB hard drive The installer seems to k...

Stuck on Ruby libs?
I get through all of the setup of the install process, but when I actually get to the install part I get hung up on 'Installing ruby-libs 1.8.6.383-4.fc12.i686' Fedora found my RAID drive just fine, and I got the repository for Amahi just fine. Everything went so smooth til this point! I am using th...

Re: Install offline?
My driver disk that came with the MoBo has drivers for Redhat Enterprise Linux 4 and 5. Would those work for Fedora? Also, If the RAID drivers are not on the Fedora disk, how would I go about loading them during install? I don't have a FDD header, so no floppy drive, and I only have one CD drive. I ...

Re: Install offline?
That is my Windows experience, constantly. Good luck trying to install Windows XP or Home server with a raid setup and no floppy disk drive header  And moving to a 64 bit windows OS  So Linux pretty much has all of the drivers already on the install disk? That would make things a lot ea...
