Repeated errors related to IPSec?
I tailed out my /var/log/secure and I see this message OVER AND OVER sometimes 10+ times a minute Jul 19 12:50:55 sr66-blade pluto[1575]: packet from 82.245.61.192:500: next payload type of ISAKMP Message has an unknown value: 133 Jul 19 12:50:55 sr66-blade pluto[1575]: | payload malformed after IV ...

Re: Problem: Free Space Measurement with NFS Mount?
Figured it out...I had someone trying to get into my VNC session brute force, and they never got the password, but every failed attempt was being logged in ~/.xsession-errors (and then moved to ~/.xsession-errors-old). This file was over 500GB.
I've since iptables blocked the offending IP's.

Re: Problem: Free Space Measurement with NFS Mount?
Naturally now it's working fine. I'll re-post if it happens again; the issue was a gnome popup saying "you have under 200GB of free space left," then nautilus reported 120GB free, then the system just repeatedly crashed until I restarted the HDA with the NAS off. I guess for now...do my et...

Re: Problem: Free Space Measurement with NFS Mount?
It kind of came out of nowhere...gnome popup that the disc was full. With the drives mounted, here's the output of that command: [surfrock66@sr66-blade ~]$ df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/md0 1.8T 362G 1.4T 21% / tmpfs 2.0G 2.4M 2.0G 1% /dev/shm /dev/sda1 243M 63M 167M 28% /boo...

Problem: Free Space Measurement with NFS Mount?
If this is the wrong place for this question lemme know; I didn't see a better spot for storage questions. My HDA basically got stuck, and I couldn't figure out why. It kept giving me errors about almost being out of free space, which didn't pass my sniff test. It turns out, my space was fine, but t...

Python Issues (argparse, dex, AwesomeWM)
Sorry, this is gonna be a bit noobish. So I'm on Amahi 6.1 on Fedora 14, and I'm thinking about switching my WM from Gnome to AwesomeWM. I use awesome on all my other machines. One of my concerns is that startup apps won't start in Awesome...so I'm following this guide: http://awesome.naquadah.org/w...

Re: Should I not edit /var/named/dynamic/hda-n2a.conf ?
we both work at a hospital where all our services work this way, so "http://payroll" or "http://pwa" etc. I think she likes the idea. Sucks that it gets overwritten...I'll prolly just ignore it, though I guess it'd be possible to put some sort of comment key in, then do like a cr...

Should I not edit /var/named/dynamic/hda-n2a.conf ?
My wife asked if it's possible to set up DNS c-name aliases for stuff like "http://facebook" and I know I can do that by editing this file: /var/named/dynamic/hda-n2a.conf I've perused...looks like the consensus is "don't do that." But is it a "you shouldn't" or is it a...

Plex Conflicting with DLNA?
I'll start off fully admitting I didn't do this in such a way to make debugging easy...I'm just going to recount my experience and I can provide info by request. I've had the default Amahi DLNA app (this one http://www.amahi.org/apps/dlna ) installed for a while, with all of my media encoded to x264...

What is your Window Manager/Desktop Environment?
I'm running Fedora 14, and Gnome 2 is getting a bit stale. I actually keep a VNC session open most of the time at work so my traffic isn't really caught by my employer, so I use it heavily. What Window Managers/Desktop Environments do people use out there? On my other machines I use AwesomeWM for ho...
