Win 7 and HDAConnect
Everytime I start HDAConnect, Win 7 pops up a UAC dialog box to make sure I want to let HDAC make changes to my system. It is really annoying, and so I stopped HDAC from running on startup. Is it possible to get this script Win 7 logo certified (or whatever else it takes to get approved by MS), or i...

Re: PBA error 23
No. It's the latest LTS release, so it's using ext3.

PBA error 23
I encountered PBA error 23, but I was backing up a machine w/ a pretty vanilla Xubuntu install. Is there anyway to find out exactly what is causing this error?

Re: PBA marketing stuff on Amahi.org is very misleading
Maybe I'm in the minority, but I don't want an "automated" backup app running by itself on my system. That's compute cycles I could be using to blast baddies or edit videos. I prefer a machine running from a ramdisk to do a full hdd backup, and to schedule incrementals manually.

HDA needs to be logged in...
I know this is a noob question, buut, the HDA that I configured for my church has a very annoying quirk. I have to be logged in to a desktop session for anybody to connect to it, which means no DHCP, DNS, Samba, etc. unless it's logged in. It is a F10 box at runlevel 5. Once I get it all configured,...

Re: 2 Questions: iPhone & user certs
cpg, thanx for the reply. i haven't looked into it too deeply, but there should be some openvpn server configuration that would allow an iPhone/iPod to connect via the built in vpn client. i'll monkey around on my non-amahi box and see what i can come up with. that way, i don't have to worry about a...

2 Questions: iPhone & user certs
Q1: Has anyone successfully connected to their HDA VPN w/ their iPhone/iPod Touch? Is it even possible?
Q2: How do you get CA approval for user certs that you create w/ the utility included in HDAConnect2? I don't know the commands to perform on the HDA.
Thanx.

Re: Reaching to truly *real* users!
this is kinda on the same subject...i guess. why do you have to scroll all the way down the home page at Amahi.org to find a link to the forums? there should be a link under the 'Community' link at the top. there's not even a forum link on the page that the main 'Community' link takes you to.

Re: Reaching to truly *real* users!
i agree...not very useful as "feedback". did he try the irc channel? what were the non-trivial problems he spent hours on? no offer to help or to at least submit logfiles? this was a lashing out by a frustrated "user" looking for a quick fix to his file-sharing needs.
