Slow reads using Airport router

Using an AirPort router on your LAN?
Updated to firmware 7.5.2?
Having very slow read performance when accessing your shares?

You might have been bitten by a nasty bug in the latest firmware update pushed by Apple.
Solution (downgrade to 7.4.x) is detailed here:
